About Us

David Laubert DVM, has worked as a veterinarian for many years. Every day in the clinic brought new pets, worried owners, and situations that could be funny one minute and difficult the next. He paid close attention to the small details, the unexpected things clients said, and the real emotions that showed up in the exam room. All of that eventually found its way into Vet Stories.

After losing his mother, his father, and his beloved dog Maggie Mae, he started writing short reflections just to hold onto what he was feeling. The words came during quiet mornings and walks. A Journey With Grief grew out of those honest pieces. It does not offer fixes or advice. It simply stays with the weight, the memories, and the slow changes that come after loss.

Through both books, David Laubert, DVM offers something straightforward. One book sits with sorrow and the long road afterward. The other remembers laughter, surprises, and the strange beauty found in everyday veterinary work. Together, they show different sides of the same person, someone who has spent his life close to animals, their people, and everything life brings.
